Computer and Design Services Ltd is seeking a BIM Lead / BIM Coordinator to join our BIM Services team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role will support the delivery and coordination of BIM across multidisciplinary projects, ensuring high-quality digital outputs and compliance with industry standards.
The position offers hybrid working, with flexibility to work remotely and spend time in the Broadstone office on a flexible basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate BIM delivery across multiple projects, working closely with internal teams and clients to ensure consistent standards and high-quality outputs
- Develop, maintain and enforce BIM standards, templates and workflows
- Manage and coordinate models using Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D; knowledge of Tekla would be an advantage but is not essential.
- Support clash detection, model coordination and data quality assurance
- Work collaboratively with engineers, designers and external stakeholders
- Provide BIM guidance, support and mentoring to project teams based in our India office
- Support compliance with ISO 19650 and client BIM requirements
- Assist with BIM execution plans (BEPs), MIDPs and TIDPs
- Contribute to continuous improvement of digital delivery processes
- Prepare cost quotations, including monthly assessments and invoicing
- Support the growth and expansion of the BIM team
Required Skills and Experience
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in a BIM Coordinator or BIM Lead role
- Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit
- Experience using Civil 3D
- Understanding of BIM standards and workflows, including ISO 19650
- Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary models, with a focus on Civil projects, including MEP and Structural elements.
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available)
Desirable Skills (but not essential)
- Experience using Tekla Structures
- Experience working in consultancy or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of common data environments (CDEs)
- Experience with BIM automation or scripting tools
- Experience in 4D construction sequencing and 5D cost integration within BIM environments
- Produce accurate 3D models from point cloud and survey data using Autodesk Revit
- 5+ years experience as a BIM manager or coordinator in construction or engineering
- High proficiency in Autodesk Construction Cloud and Autodesk design tools, including Revit, Navisworks, ReCap Pro, AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Advanced understanding of ISO 19650, BS 1192, CDEs, IFC, COBie, and classification systems
